routER— About
What is this?
This app is part of a Georgia Tech CreateX Capstone project (Spring 2026). We're building an optimized EMS routing system that helps ambulances reach the best hospital faster after a call. To validate our system, we need real-world data from EMS professionals like you.
What data do we collect?
- Profile info — name, certification, agency, and county (so we can understand who is using the app).
- Timestamps & activities — when you start recording, leave the scene, arrive at a hospital, and complete patient dropoff.
- Incident details — severity, hospital choice reasoning, and wall time reasons that you voluntarily enter.
- Location pings — periodic GPS coordinates during an active recording, used to map transport routes.
What we do NOT collect
- No patient information of any kind.
- No background data gathering — the app only records when you tell it to.
- No data is shared with your agency, employer, or any third party.
Your privacy
This tool is strictly for academic research. Your data is stored securely and used only to validate our routing model. It is never sold, shared externally, or linked back to specific patient encounters. You can stop using the app at any time.
